It's Tuesday already? Here's a few to get your senseless fix. Proper posts tomorrow.
Police Work Keeps Getting Easier
Houston police arrest 130 people for public intoxication -- at a BAR!
"I Have 'School Phobia'. So Pay Me $45,000 Not To Go To School"
I totally wish I could make this up. "According to a psychiatrist and psychologists who have evaluated her,
she suffers from an emotional disorder called school phobia, or school
refusal" I also wish they'd had the internet when I was in 3rd grade. Then I could have referenced this article instead of climbing a tree.

First off, I don't know this guy - he started my last year there and I never had a conversation with him. But this is the second case of "funny business" in as many years from Travis. First there was this guy, and now they're in the news again.
If the allegations are true, it was a super-senseless move on the teacher's part. Why not wait one month, and then she won't be a student anymore? It would still be inappropriate and frowned upon, and he'd still probably lose his job by way of not getting his contract renewed, but at the very least he'd avoid a felony charge.

At least he didn't bring it to court.....
The headline pretty well sums it up. There's not much to say after that. So they didn't. And here it is:
A Twin Falls resident charged with forgetting he'd left 21 pounds of marijuana in an apartment he'd moved out of last October, has pled guilty.
28 year old Samuel Wood and 29 year old Justin Bright were both arrested on drug charges after an employee of an apartment complex on Heyburn Avenue East discovered the marijuana.
Bright has already been sentenced for two misdemeanor charges in the case.
Wood, who was charged with drug trafficking, is scheduled to be sentenced in mid July.

Ok, so it doesn't say he was there for jury duty (it says he was just "visiting"), but they're getting a little better at catching the weed smokers before they blaze up.
See, what he should have done was brought a gun with him. Then they'd be too concerned with confiscating THAT and wouldn't have even noticed the grass.

There have been just too many stories about this stuff coming out of Austin!
This guy "confessed to his minister that he had sexually abused a minor and wanted to turn himself in" and afterwards "the minister then contacted police officials". That's how it's supposed to work, if any catholic priests are listening. None of that "absolution" shit and then move on to another deaf school in a different parish.
And the kid should have turned the guy in, but I guess felt morally obliged to keep his part of the bargain in the extortion deal. Deaf culture is honorable that way.
