Senseless Notes -- Starting A Record Label Is More Expensive Than Ever

I keep having to check the date on some of these stories to make sure they're not April 1st.  But no, it's real.
The lesson here is "don't let your daughter date a total dumbass".  Also, "don't offer to be a venture capitalist for your daughter's dumbass boyfriend's record company."
It's also nice to know that in Texas, unlike up here, the bank tellers actually look at the check they're presented.

This was great, mostly because she tapped the "yes" ass.  Thirteen lacrosse dudes mooned a gal with "Will You Go To The Prom With Me? Yes or No?" emblazoned on their heinies during a junior varsity game.  The senseless part is the severity of the punishment.  Suspended from games and school and sentenced to 20 hours community service -- maybe going to elementary schools to lecture on the hazards of mooning.  "Inappropriate is inappropriate," school athletic director Dottie Davis told The Ann Arbor News. "It disrespects women, and that's the clear message we need to have the students understand -- what may be fun to them isn't necessarily fun to everyone else."  But seriously, how many people could possibly be at a JUNIOR VARSITY lacrosse game?  Like 12?  Eleven of them parents? like they've never seen a butt before.  I don't know, maybe Ann Arbor has some really stellar JV lacrosse and the press and tv crews were there along with hundreds of fans.  The movie "American Pie" might lead you to believe that.
Anyway, I think it was pretty darn funny.

These videos, complete with High School Coach/Health Teacher character are quite entertaining.  Maybe even informative.  ...."even if you don't spew".  Laughing Out Loud, indeed.

Truckers Rally Against Gas Prices

I don't even know what to call this.  Some kind of reverse hunger strike?  Fuel prices are too high so lets burn a shitload of it for non-work related events?  They are taking a shuttle to the capitol for the rally.  So that's sensible.  But first they just gotta drive their rigs past the White House to make people aware.  Because, you know, people just aren't aware of the rising price of gasoline.  They need to make some kind of major statement to raise awareness.  And just keep saying "aware".

Senseless Notes -- You Kids Think You're Bad? I've Got An Arrest Warrant! Top That!

Substitute teacher's tales in class lead to her arrest

A sub decides to brag on her outstanding warrant.  Next day the regular teacher returns and asks, "What did you cover while I was out?".  Of course the kids share what they learned.  The tattling goes on to the school cop, who arrests the sub during 2nd period in another class.

I guess his venture capital had dried up.  So he climbed a utility pole to steal some electricity, which apparently is frowned upon by the authorities.  Busted.

I saw this page back in the spring of 2000 when it was hosted by geocities and therefore was constantly shut down due to bandwidth overage.  There's a new update/ripoff here.  I was in the Centre County Library when I first viewed the page and couldn't stop laughing and everyone was looking at me wondering what was so funny.  Now it's just mildly amusing, but I'm glad it still lives on.  Truly a web page legend.

But no, they argue that the privacy you expect for using the bathroom stall for its intended purpose also covers anything else you might do with your pants down.

6th Grade Notes -- Get Your Giggle On

OGC unveils new  logo to red faces

Rotate the new OGC logo and you get a super funny new emoticon.  Just when the giggling subsides you get to the point in the article where the company spokesman says that they're an "organisation that’s looking to have a firm grip" on something.  Then it starts all over again.

Branding is key.  I didn't know, so I had to look -- what kind of toothpaste do we use?  Yup, it's Crest.  Most likely due to this commercial. Very likely.
